Details: The RS Williams Piano Company of Oshawa, Canada, was originally founded as the Canada Organ & Piano Company in 1873. Richard Sudgen Williams took full control of the company in 1888 and reorganized it as The RS Williams Piano Company. By 1909, the company was known as “RS Williams & Sons, Ltd.,” with Frederick W. Bull as a co-owner. Pianos built by RS Williams were highly regarded in the Canadian piano industry as well-crafted instruments with excellent sound. In addition to the “RS Williams” brand, the company produced pianos under the names Sudgen, Beethoven, Ennis, Everson, and Krydner. The company ceased operations in 1932.
