1. Ideal temperature for a piano
The piano should be kept at a stable temperature, generally between 18°C and 22°C. Extreme variations can alter the wood, strings and internal mechanics of the instrument. Too low or too high a temperature can cause cracking or expansion of materials, affecting performance and tuning.
2. Recommended humidity for a piano
The ideal relative humidity for a piano is between 40% and 50%. If the air is too dry (less than 40%), the wood can dry out and crack. Conversely, too much humidity (over 50%) can cause the wood to swell, disturbing the internal mechanics and making tuning more difficult. The use of a humidifier or dehumidifier is strongly recommended to maintain these levels.
3. Avoid sudden changes
